The California Sharks bring a spotlight to the often forgotten, or overlooked, athlete.  Many young men aspire to pursue a career in professional sports yet find the stressors and responsibilities of life take precedence.  At the other end of the spectrum, life choices or poor academic performance/interest preclude them from furthering their quest.  Through sports leadership programs, community service and sports related initiatives, the Sharks present these athletes the optimal platform to present their craft once again to the professional sports community.
